Watch Prince’s Story

In this video, Prince Owusu shares his journey from Ghana to America, focusing on his experiences in athletics and the support he received during personal loss. He highlights his aspirations to give back as a philanthropist and expresses gratitude for the community at PBA. Resilience and generosity are key themes, along with reflections on his mother’s pride in his achievements and the impact of donors on his education.

Highlights of Prince’s Story

Prince Owusu came to the United States from Ghana with a dream to play college soccer and pursue higher education. After connecting with the coaching staff at Palm Beach Atlantic University, he visited campus and quickly felt at home. The welcoming environment, strong athletic program, and supportive community made PBA the right choice.

As a Business Management major at PBA, Prince experienced personal growth both academically and spiritually. One of the most defining moments of his college journey came when he lost his mother. During that difficult season, faculty members and the admissions office surrounded him with compassion and support. He describes that moment as a powerful reminder that God places people in your life when you need them most.

Through challenges and loss, Prince developed resilience and generosity. He believes that every test has prepared him to become the man he is today. Earning a college degree was not something he once imagined possible, and he knows his mother would be proud of how far he has come.

Prince’s God-Sized dream is to one day become a philanthropist, giving back to communities in Ghana and creating opportunities for children who may not see a clear path forward. He hopes to build projects that empower others to believe that they too have a dream—and a God-Sized dream.

He expresses deep gratitude to donors whose scholarships made his education possible. For Prince, their generosity is not just financial support; it is part of his story and his future mission to serve others.
